Make sure to check out all the wiring, the belt and bobbin winder tire, and get it cleaned and oiled (if not fully serviced). If your heavy fabrics are things like canvas and denim, it should do those no problem. They're built very well, and made to last, but they're not industrial machines.ĩ9s are 3/4 size (the 66 is the full size, where the arm is longer) so keep that in mind. It's not gonna make thick leather jackets or tack. ![]() It's not gonna do repeated, constant leather work the way an industrial built for that one job only would though. ![]() Any time somebody says they want to work with leather, I have to question what kind of leather! If it's thin garment leather or synthetic, for occasional use, then yeah the 99K will probably handle it okay (better than a newer plastic machine at least).
